What hypocrisy from our political leaders and our societies consuming! The only winners in the war against drugs are police officers. They only defend their interests. Taxpayers in all Western countries pay billions for a war against drugs unwinnable, as was the prohibition of alcohol in the early 20th century. The police are making the most of the billions that states invest in this futile war. These are the only winners. They often oppose the distribution of syringes, sale of marijuana compassion and any relaxation of laws. Moreover, by their demagogic speeches, they wash the brains of the good people timid and spread disinformation that is made only to falsely secure the masses more and more frightened by the thousands of killings perpetrated by the traffickers. Legalization and the nationalization of illegal drugs today are the only solutions to end the bloodshed between cartels and desperation of the producers who do not benefit from this traffic.
